He has sent me to proclaim that captives will be released,

that the blind will see, that the oppressed will be set free,

and that the time of the Lord’s favor has come. LUKE 4:18-19

Prayer brings the needs of our persecuted brothers and sisters before God, asking for their safety, relief for their suffering and the strengthening of their faith and witness in their times of trial.

Our miraculous God moves powerfully through our prayers.

We are called to stand in faith with those who are suffering and with those who are hurting.

Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute. Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and the needy. – Proverbs 31:8-9

Remember those in prison as if you were together with them in prison, and those who are ill-treated as if you yourselves were suffering. – Hebrews 13:3

Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be the sons of your Father in Heaven. – Matthew 5:44-45
